· Robusta — “The Rugged Tough Guy”
· Commonly used in instant coffee and Italian blends.
· Advantages: Highly disease-resistant, easy to cultivate, high caffeine content (approx. 2-4%), full-bodied flavor, produces a beautiful crema.
· ·Disadvantages: Limited flavor profile, often exhibiting unpleasant woody, grainy, or bitter notes. Poor cultivation techniques can result in pronounced astringency.
· Visual characteristics: Rounder and larger beans than Arabica, with a straight silver stripe (midline) on the back.
罗布斯塔 (Robusta) —— “粗犷的硬汉”
常用于速溶咖啡和意式拼配。
优点:抗病强,好养活,咖啡因含量高(约2-4%),口感醇厚(Body重),能产生漂亮的油脂(Crema)。
· 缺点:风味较单一,通常带有令人不悦的木质味、谷物味或焦苦味。如果种植技术不好,会有明显的涩味。
· 视觉特征:豆子比阿拉比卡圆胖,个头稍大,背面的银皮(中线)是笔直的。
